One might waltz into September thinking that things will be lighter now that Mercury Retrograde is over. But instead, September begins with Pluto re-entering Capricorn and also kick-starts eclipse season, with a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on September 17.
When it comes to Pluto in Capricorn, Pluto has been in and out of Capricorn since 2008, so you can look back to what you’ve been working on since 2008 for insight into what you’re wrapping up now, as well as what House Capricorn lands for you (I’ll be posting specific horoscopes later this week).
On to the monthly forecast!
September 1: Uranus Retrograde begins: Uranus is an outer planet, so we don’t feel its retrograde as much as we do the inner planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars). While Uranus is retrograde over the next five months, it’s a good time to review how you relate to your intuition and gut instincts. Do you follow them? Ignore them? Do you need validation for them?
Pluto enters Capricorn: Pluto is currently retrograde so it is re-entering Capricorn through November 19. Pluto is the planet of transformation, and Capricorn represents how things have always been. Pluto in Capricorn brings about change in structure and the way we go about business. The last time we had this transit was during the American Revolution, which shows just how much change can happen while Pluto is in Capricorn.
September 2: New Moon in Virgo: Virgo is all about the themes of cycles, routines, organization, health, and wellness. This New Moon is opposite Saturn, calling upon our mastery in these areas. Are we willing to heed to the call? Are we brave enough to travel the path before us?
Mercury trine Chiron: Our words can be used for wounding or healing, but it’s up to us as to how we wield that power. This transit can mean we’ll see more arguments popping up around us, or that we’ll feel more argumentative ourselves, as our hurts feel right on the surface and it can feel like folks are pushing all of our buttons. The key for this transit is to be aware of what buttons are being pushed and why we’re having the reactions we’re having - that’s where change can happen, if we want it.
September 3: Mars square Neptune: Today is a day where it’s best to know ahead of time that you just might not feel your best. Mars governs our energy, and Neptune is the master of illusion. We can feel short-sided by low energy and motivation today, as well as confusion and misunderstandings.
September 4: Mars enters Cancer: Mars will be in Cancer until November 3. Fiery Mars doesn’t really like being in watery Cancer. Mars wants to run away from those emotional waters. Because of this we can all find ourselves more moody and defensive during these weeks.
